Took the Camaro to Myrtle beach this weekend. The computer said 39.3. Actual tank over tank calculation between fill ups was 37 mpg. For a car only rated by the EPA at 31, I say not bad. No real hyper mile maneuvers. Stayed 5 over the limit most times. Never went above 70. But stayed at 70 for about an hour. No fast starts. Just cruising. Also, I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, the Camaro is much more comfortable long distance than my Cruze ever was.

Just wash prior to trip

That’s impressive. Best I’ve done is about 33. Of course I have more power, displacement, and weigh more so I’d expect to do worse

Is there that much weight difference between the turbo Camaro and the turbo Mustang? What’s the stang rated at? I honestly never expected these kind of numbers so I was more than pleasantly surprised.

Hey where in NC are you? I’m just south of Raleigh.

I think it’s only about 2 hours from you. I have a couple friends up there but never seem to get there! I will someday though.

It’s nice up here, I like it. Born and raised in Raleigh so how can I not?

That’s fair. I’m from Boston originally. Moved down here in 2004 with the parents. Then college, job, house such.
